1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CarmaDeal ("Service," "we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CarmaDeal is an independent used-car pricing and deal analysis platform. Deal Scores are computed by a deterministic formula; automation (including AI) may assist with extracting listing details and drafting report narrative text, but it does not decide the score. The Service provides:

• Free Deal Score (0–100): A score computed by a deterministic formula estimating how well a used car listing is priced relative to current market conditions.
• Vehicle Intelligence Report: A detailed report including known issues, market comparables, total cost of ownership estimates, recall history, and negotiation guidance. Free.
• VIN Decoding: Free vehicle specification lookup via NHTSA data.

3. User Accounts

You may use the free Deal Score without an account. An account is required to save deals, track your buying journey, and keep notes.

• You must provide a valid email address and maintain account security.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You may not share accounts or create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Pricing

Everything on CarmaDeal is currently free — deal scores, full Vehicle Intelligence Reports, and account features. No credit card or subscription is required. Reasonable rate limits may apply to prevent abuse and keep the service available for everyone. If pricing is introduced in the future, it will be posted on this page before any charge applies, and payment would be processed via Stripe. See our Refund Policy for terms that would apply to any future purchases.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically access the Service via automated tools
• Attempt to reverse-engineer our scoring algorithms
• Upload malicious files or content designed to harm our systems
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits
• Resell or redistribute reports without permission

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY OF PRICING DATA. Market conditions change rapidly. A deal score reflects data available at the time of analysis.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARMADEAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

8. Intellectual Property

CarmaDeal and its content — including the scoring algorithm, report format, and website design — are owned by CarmaDeal. You may use reports for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce or distribute reports for commercial use without written permission.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@carmadeal.com.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court. Class action lawsuits are waived.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post changes with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
